The Hexbot Installer offers three ways to run it: Full, the app and your bots on this computer; Client, the app alone, for bots on another computer; and Headless, the daemon alone, for a server.

Or from a terminal, on this computer or a server over SSH:

What each option installs

Hexbot is in nightly early access: nightly builds are the only ones for now, and things may break. Your copy updates itself each day the code changes. Report what you find.

A few more steps

  1. 1Open the .dmg from your Downloads folder, then open Hexbot Installer inside it
  2. 2Choose Full, Client, or Headless
  3. 3Full or Client: open Hexbot when it finishes
  4. 4Full: choose "Run on this machine". Client: pair with your daemon

If macOS says it cannot check the app, open System Settings, Privacy and Security, and choose Open Anyway.

Headless: run hexbot pair on that computer and pair the Hexbot app on another one. See Headless.

Nightly builds
